1992 Philosophy at Rupprecht-Karls Universität Heidelberg

My artistic effort is the cutting point between art and science. With my conceptional work and paintings I try to fathom the frontiers of human perception to find out what lies in this moment when human cognition touches the invisible surrounding world.
I am interested in the areas that humans know from science but which cannot be reached through sensation. For example, cosmologists assume that 85% of all matter is invisible and cannot be experienced by humans. They call this „Dark Matter“ and recently also „The Invisible“.
The awareness that humans customarily only experience reality by sensory perception and the question how this conception of reality could be moved forward, were the considerations I worked with in my latest projects.

E--N--A, was ist "Crazyland"?
Interview von Stefan Siegfried, 2014
E--N--A, was ist „Crazyland“?
Das ist der Überbegriff für meine Arbeiten, für die Phase, in der ich mich gerade befinde. Der Begriff steht als Chiffre für eine Parallelwelt, die ab und zu zu uns durchbricht und versucht, mich ...
Something happened in 1976
I work with oils on canvas or wood. The material is a conscious decision because the question of how painting can represent the invisible realm of reality is at the centre...
Memories of 1976
(Ena)
i sit, a stone in the hand
inside is outside, outside becomes inside.
the stone loses its hardness, passes it to me.
my hand, my arm turn to stone,
then everything the other way around.
a change.
what is body, what is external?
i perceive the stone to be a part of me.
it’s part of my world because i’m holding it.
my world is in motion.
it’s pulsing.
to become and fade away.
the stone also lives. through me.
then i die and begin anew.
